ADVANCED TRAINING DAY
We at MAD are again running our annual Advanced School’s Debating Training Day and would like to invite your students to attend. Presented by some of the best debaters in Australasia and the World, this day is designed to sharpen the skills of students in the finals of the 2010 DAV Schools’ Competition, as well as in their future debating endeavours.
The 2010 Advanced Training Day will be held on Saturday August 14th from 10am, in building 12 (Law Building Basement - A map is available here). The full cost of the day will be $35.00 (GST inclusive) per student. An early bird offer of $30 per student is available until August 7th.
During the day students will receive:
- Seminars on debating tactics and first principles to prepare for finals;
- Supervised preparation sessions;
- Constructive advice and adjudication from experienced DAV adjudicators;
- A take home manual on debating techniques and tips;
- A fully catered lunch.
Trainers will include Australasian Debating Championships Winners Fiona Prowse and Tim Jeffrie. Amit Golder, the Coach of the 2010 Victorian Schools’ State Debating Team, will be also be running a seminar. A full training programme is available here.
